Press Release - Immediate Release - Feb. 27, 2017
FANNIN COUNTY, TX. – Trident Lakes’ Board of Directors today announced it has accepted the resignation of Chief Security Officer Rob Kaneiss and will immediately commence a search for his replacement. Kaneiss, a former Navy SEAL and decorated international diplomat, offered his resignation to accept a high-level advisory role in a joint venture between the governments of the United States and Somalia.
“It is with regret that I depart Trident Lakes, because I believe it is an attractive, unique concept,” Kaneiss said. “But given the policy shifts with new Presidents in both the U.S. and Somalia, I’m looking forward to serving an important role in sensitive diplomatic relations. I will certainly keep abreast of Trident Lakes’ progress and welcome the opportunity to consult the developers on security matters in the future.”
CEO Jim O’Connor said Trident Lakes will consider internal and external candidates for its next CSO.
“Obviously, we’re sad to see Rob leave as he has been an integral part of our early development,” O’Connor said. “But at the same time, we understand and appreciate his service and commitment to the United States government here and abroad.”
